Project Description

For my Beginning Typography class, I chose to design the album cover for Dayglow’s Funky Brain Album. I chose this album because of the absence of typography on the album cover and I wanted to incorporate typography in a new design that encapsulates their songs. The original cover’s lack of typography inspired me to create a new design that incorporates thoughtful lettering while encapsulating the vibrant energy of their songs. By experimenting with playful fonts, colors, and graphic elements, my goal was to reflect the album's upbeat and eclectic spirit. This redesign not only enhances the visual appeal but also connects the listener to the music, making the cover a fitting representation of Dayglow’s artistic identity.
